Anchorage Labor Training February 16

*Unions in 2011: Come get the tools to defend the union way of life*

The Alaska AFL-CIO will be holding it's first training session on labor history and teach members how to advocate effectively on union issues.

Grievance Arbitration program April 3-7

University of Oregon's Labor Education and Research Center in Portland will offer four day institute for union representatives who work within the grievance process. The class will focus on skills needed for analyzing, preparation for hearings, and more.

We Are One Rallies across Alaska

On Monday, April 4th, Alaska held what may be the biggest labor rally in recent history. From accounts out of each city, we believe that just under 2,000 people came out to support the workers in their community! The day was about Martin Luther King Jr., about workers, and about community.
