Prop 8 has some terrible consequences for citizens.

Encourages waste: Changing the tax cap will penalize savings in government by creating a "spend it all" incentive at year end.

Kills property tax rebates: It will make it impossible to rebate money to the taxpayer when we have unanticipated savings, like low snow years.

Hurts public safety: We all know Anchorage needs to add more police officers. This change in the cap will make that impossible.

The current tax cap works fine.
